OPTIMA packaging group GmbH: Individual coffee pod machine

See it a PACK EXPO Booth #4721! Optima’s CFL1 is an entry-level machine that produces smaller quantities of coffee in soft pods and espresso pods in paper filters—up to 75 pods/min.

Pw 43770 Optima Cfl1

The CFL1 provides compact linear, single-lane paper pod handling. The machine can be changed over from soft pods to espresso pods using a quick-change format.  A wide range of pods in various designs can be produced.

Optima’s weight-optimized system uses reliable servo technology to operate modules and the high-precision auger filler. Weight and density are regulated by the static weighing cell within the machine.

Compression of espresso pods is accomplished by the CFL1’s compacting press, which can be factory set to the customer’s requirements. The press capacity can be changed or turned off entirely when changing to soft pods, or depending on the requirements of another product.

A single-pouch module at the outfeed of the machine can be installed.  This module seals the pods safely and efficiently into printed packaging film.

The CFL1 will also handle open or closed plastic capsules in the future. Different capsule feeding systems will be available, as will different capsule closings--paper filter, plastic or aluminum membrane, and plastic lid.
