The new D4 HD family features 316L Stainless Steel and Type 1 Titanium construction, sealed cable gland, sealed motor/gearbox compartments, and watertight construction of main body and rotation axis. Sealed compartments allow the use of standard motors and gearboxes, lowering the cost of replacement parts, and allowing standardization of spares with the company’s other robots in the D4 family.
The D4 HD family delivers fast and quiet performance and an open control system capability. The combination of resistant construction materials, fast cycle times, and range of work envelope sizes make the D4 HD family suitable for pick and place applications such as handling of meat, fish, or other wet food products, as well as pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
