Thermo Fisher Scientific: New checkweighers

Thermo Electron has introduced the GP-275 and GP-Pharma to its checkweigher line. Running at speeds to 250 ppm, the GP-275 is a more durable checkweigher for the food packaging industry and offers greater package width capability with a 275 mm belt.

Also features more powerful brushless DC motors and offers a high-accuracy (within 250 mg) product conveying belt in addition to an FDA-approved direct food contact belt. The GP-Pharma accommodates smaller, lighter packs (to 500 g) and offers belt widths of 80mm or 140mm. Infeed and outfeed conveyors remain standardized at 150mm.
