The 2000’-long 1-gal line comprises twin robot depalletizers, automated debaggers, 30-valve filler, servo controlled laner, case packer, palletizer, and stretchwrapper (see October ‘01, p.34, or packworld/go/ naturesway). The 2.5 gal portion is separate until the line flow combines ahead of the case packer. The 2.5-gal operation has its own debaggers, filler, closure applicator and conveyoring to the casepacker that are all networked. Currently, Nature’s Way can run either 1- or 2.5-gal containers, but when production volumes increase, the plant can expand to run both lines simultaneously.
