The event will be held April 18 and 19, the first two days of CMM’s three-day biennial CMM International 2005 at Chicago’s McCormick Place South.
The event will bring together end-user executives and converting materials and machinery suppliers with solutions to consumer goods package converting. Developed and produced by Packaging Strategies (www.packstrat.com), the program and luncheon-networking event will include presentations from leading packaging and consumer trend experts.
“Although the program will target senior-level consumer packaging professionals, and will be organized as a separate conference from the general CMM Conference Program, attendees will have the opportunity to visit the show floor,” notes Ian Johnston, CMM president. “Packaging professionals are becoming increasingly involved with the production side of the equation. The consumer packaging-focused event will provide them with a unique opportunity to have a hands-on experience with the latest technologies in everything from electronic/digital workflow technologies to the threats and opportunities of off-shore manufacturing and converting.” Five of the many trade associations that endorse CMM International 2005 will also sponsor special Pavilions and Solutions Theaters at the show.
CMM International is also seeking nominations for the 2005 Converter of the Year award. Nominations should be submitted by January 31 by email to [email protected]. Submissions should include the name and brief description of the nominee and his or her contributions and contact information. The winner will be announced prior to CMM International 2005. —JB
