Compliance packaging takes on patient adherence...

The World Health Organization recently said that "patient adherence may have a far greater impact on the health of the population than any improvement in medical treatment."

Throughout the world, patient compliance drops to about 50 percent after three months. Not only is patient adherence a global health risk, but it also costs pharmaceutical manufacturers more than $30 billion a year in lost revenue. According to one study, unit-dose blister packaging, and other innovative packaging, improves refill rate by 15 percent and outcomes by 30 percent.
