Elopak (New Hudson, MI) has announced a joint venture with iplas (Cologne, Germany) and alfill (Hamburg, Germany) to complete and commercialize a plasma barrier coating system for plastic bottles.

—Elopak (Spikkestad, Norway) has acquired a carton converting facility from St. Laurent Paperboard Inc. (Montreal, Quebec, Canada).

—Klöckner Medipak (Clearwater, FL) has become the exclusive North American distributor of the Trialpack robotic blister packaging system from Fleximation (Zurich, Switzerland).

—Tekni-Plex, Inc. (Somerville, NJ) has signed a long-term licensing agreement with Sun A. Kaken (Tokyo, Japan), a film converter and laminator.
