New BOPP films

Mirage HB-2 from Quantum (Streamwood, IL) is a new BOPP film with a 75% moisture barrier improvement over standard coextruded films, says the manufacturer.

Two-side sealable, it consists of an untreated three-layer pp film, and is currently available in a .85-mil thickness. Runs well on unsupported horizontal f/f/s configurations. Designed to maintain moisture levels in products such as cakes, soft cookies, tobacco and reduced-fat products.
