The Servo II vf/f/s machine from Hayssen (Duncan, SC) uses servo motors that withstand washdowns. Operates at speeds to 110 bags/min. An Allen-Bradley 5/04 control system and PanelView 900 touchscreen operator interface allow storage of up to 100 user-defined programs.

Reverse strip-sealing jaws pull film upwards during filling between 1 mm and 100 mm of bag length to allow product to fall into the bag rather than being trapped in a cross-seal area. Pneumatically driven extended back platen may be moved 3/4" away from film during downtime to prevent heat from damaging film.
