As more consumers are responding to sustainable alternatives to plastic, plastic impregnated, & plastic laminated packaging, it has been Cardbox Packaging's goal to provide a substitute to those traditional options. The company today rolled out two new products to the market:

  • CBX CBC FF (Cardbox Circular Barrier Coating for Frozen Food applications)
  • CBX CBC GR (Cardbox Circular Barrier Coating for Grease applications)

CBX CBC FF is focused on the substitution of PE coated materials, its use with a recyclable cardboard material provides a sustainable product for use including fish, fruits, vegetables, etc.

CBX CBC GR has a broader range of sustainable coatings for various greasy products, including cakes, chocolates, pastries, etc.

The coatings are free of fluorine chemicals, therefore eliminating the component which prevents other materials from being recyclable.

Additional products will be rolled out in the future, targeting properties including but not limited to water vapor barriers.  Additionally, we will be introducing the Eco Tray, a cardboard tray equipped with CBX CBC xx coating and sealing properties.
