Lakeland, Fla.-based Saddle Creek Corp., a nationwide third-party logistics provider, has changed its name to Saddle Creek Logistics Services, effective May 30, 2012. In announcing the change, Cliff Otto, Saddle Creek president, noted the company's growth and new capabilities, adding: "We believe this new name better reflects our ultimate focus – delivering integrated logistics solutions tailored to meet our customers’ needs." In recent years, Saddle Creek has increasingly moved toward tighter integration of its warehousing, transportation, contract packaging and order fulfillment services, which cater to manufacturers, retailers and distributors as well as online merchants. Saddle Creek Logistics Services operates more than 14 million square feet of space in 28 locations with help from more than 2,000 associates nationwide.

The new name is intended to better represent the company’s capabilities, which include warehousing, transportation, packaging and order fulfillment.
