A new conversion kit from packaging machinery manufacturer Deitz Co. enables the company's Pharmafill(TM) NB1 tamper-evident neck banding machine to automatically apply shrink bands and sleeve labels onto bottles and other containers with no lip or shoulder, in addition to those with lips or shoulders. Adding the proprietary capabilities of the company's Pharmafill Shoulderless Bottle Bander (SBB) to the NB1, the conversion kit enables food, nutrition, pharmaceutical, and other manufacturers, and contract packagers, to apply a wide range of shrink bands, full body shrink sleeve labels and partial body sleeve labels onto a wide range of containers using the same tamper-evident applicator machine.

Available for retrofit on neck banders in service, the conversion kit features the company's bottomless hugger belt conveyor, heat gun, hardware, and installation guide. The hugger belts hold the shoulderless bottle in place as the band or label is applied at the proper height, gently heated, and held in place without slipping down the bottle. The heat gun begins shrinking the band as it moves downstream to the companion heat shrink tunnel for complete sealing.

The conversion kit and tamper-evident banding machines are manufactured in the company's Wall, New Jersey headquarters. The machines may be tested on the company's in-house testing and training line with a variety of shrink bands, sleeve labels, and containers to verify performance.
