It's made of 100% recycled material, 75% of which is post-consumer. Half of the envelope is recycled corrugated, 30% newsprint and 20% residential mixed waste from community recycling programs.

Re-use is accomplished by removing the label affixed by the sender, attaching a return label, and re-sealing the packaging with the second adhesive flap that folds down.
