Specright names chief operating officer, chief technology officer

Specright, Inc., a cloud-based platform company for Specification Data Management (SDM), named Mike Gaffney Chief Operating Officer and Ayman Shoukry Chief Technology Officer.

Gaffney brings more than 20 years of experience in leading and scaling successful enterprise software organizations. Shoukry, a 20-year tech industry veteran with leadership positions at Amazon and Microsoft, brings extensive expertise in product strategy and software development.

“I’m thrilled to have Mike and Ayman join Specright’s leadership team during this period of growth and innovation,” said Matthew Wright, Specright’s founder & CEO. “Mike’s experience in scaling software companies and Ayman’s experience building world-class software platforms will help us deliver even more value to our customers - and faster.”

Gaffney began his enterprise software career at Oracle where he sold database and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to the public sector. He then joined Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) as their 20th employee, where he spent seven years in leadership positions in their San Francisco, New York and Orange County offices. He was Chief Revenue Officer and VP of Sales for two successful startups; Auditude, a video advertising platform acquired by Adobe, and Right Media, a digital advertising exchange acquired by Yahoo!. He earned an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and lives in Newport Beach, CA with his wife and three children.

Shoukry was most recently part of the eCommerce platform team at Amazon. Before Amazon, he was CTO at HireRight, a world leader in background screening, where he was part of the executive team that drove the company's successful exit. He began his career in the Microsoft Developer Division, where he spent over 15 years in various leadership positions. He holds a master’s degree in software engineering from the University of Newcastle in Australia and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo. He lives in Irvine, CA with his wife and two daughters.
