Microscan appoints new director of customer experience, electronics vertical

Christoph Wimmer has been appointed as Microscan’s new director of customer experience and electronics vertical.

Microscan, a barcode, machine vision, verification, and lighting solutions provider, appointed Christoph Wimmer to the role of director of customer experience and electronics vertical. He will be based at Microscan’s global headquarters in Renton, Wash.

Wimmer has been a key member of the Microscan management team and has held increasingly responsible positions in his three years with the company, culminating in his most recent position as global business development manager, electronics vertical. In this position, he led a team focused on significantly growing Microscan’s business within the electronics manufacturing sector.

In his new role, Wimmer will now be responsible for global sales operations, which includes customer service, technical support, sales operations, sales contracts, and Microscan's order management system.

“Christoph's first-hand experience with our customers, his passion for people, and his persistent execution of complex solutions makes him a great choice for this role,” says Scott Summerville, Microscan’s president.

Wimmer has a master’s degree in electrical engineering and is a member of the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA).
