Plastic Suppliers, Inc. completes leadership appointments

Plastic Suppliers, Inc. (PSI), manufacturer and distributor of both bio- and petroleum-based packaging films and sheets, has announced that Randy Scott is their new Vice-President of Sales the Americas.

"Randy is a great addition to our leadership team with his vast knowledge of not only our existing markets and products, but also in the new markets we plan to enter in the future,” says George Thomas, PSI’s CEO and President.

Scott will have sales responsibilities for North, Central, and South America including PSI’s three converting/distribution centers.  Scott brings 30 years of experience in packaging and films industries with Constar/Sewell Plastics, Klockner Pentaplast, Berry/Pliant, Exopack, and most recently Chicago-based Tansilwrap, Inc.

In June 2012, Bart De Keyser was promoted to Managing Director of PSI’s European Sidaplax division.  Prior to joining PSI in 2003, De Keyser spent 20 years with Conoco Phillips and Arthur Anderson.

In July 2012, Francisco Cavalcanti joined PSI as Vice-President of Technology responsible for global R&D, Quality, and Process Management.  Cavalcanti brings 30 years in the film and flexible packaging industries with PET manufacturer Terphance, and flexible packaging companies Cello-Poly and The Robinette Company.

Last August 2012, Erich Emhuff, formerly of ExxonMobil, AET Films, and Accutech Films joined PSI as Vice-President of Operations responsible for all North American manufacturing, purchasing, HR, and Customer Service.

"We are fortunate to have such a strong leadership team to guide our skilled and loyal employees here and in Europe in the pursuit of our strategic goals at Plastic Suppliers,” Thomas added.
