TAPPI’s Polymers, Laminations, Adhesives, Coatings and Extrusions Division (PLACE) and the Nanotechnology Division will join together to present TAPPI’s 2013 PLACE Flexible Packaging Symposium: New Technologies on Monday April 8, 2013 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The symposium will precede the International Converting Exhibition (ICE USA) which runs from April 9-11, 2013.
“This collaboration by two TAPPI Divisions will produce one of the best cutting edge technical programs ever put together in the flexible packaging industry. The program not only covers new developments in traditional barriers for packaging films but also innovative developments using polymer-based nanomaterial in packaging,” comments Larry N. Montague, TAPPI President and CEO. “The result is a program packed with insights that make this one of the year’s must attend events for anyone in the flexible packaging industry.”
The one-day program features three sessions focusing on: Innovations in Preparing Polymer-Based Nanomaterial; Innovations in Traditional Barrier Enchantments for packaging films; and Brand Launch Strategies, Shelf Appeal Enhancement and Brand Authentication for packaged consumer products.
TAPPI’s PLACE Flexible Packaging Symposium is the premier North American event for the flexible packaging industry and attracts the whole supply chain including suppliers, converters, extruders, retailers and brand owners.
