Miura America announces the graduation of the first class from its Boiler Trade Program, a milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to workforce development in the steam industry. This program is designed to equip aspiring technicians with the hands-on training and industry expertise needed to fill critical roles in an evolving field.

Industries across the country are facing challenges in maintaining efficient and reliable steam operations due to a growing shortage of skilled boiler technicians. Miura’s Boiler Trade Program was launched to address this gap by providing comprehensive training, expert mentorship, and real-world experience, ensuring graduates are fully prepared to meet the demands of the industry.

“One of the headwinds facing the US boiler industry is a growing shortage of qualified boiler technicians. Miura America has taken a proactive approach to address the challenge by establishing the Miura Boiler Trade program in late 2024,” said Arne Irwin, VP of Maintenance Operations & Customer Experience at Miura. “Our first class that graduated in February 2025 from the Miura Boiler Trade Program represents the future of the boiler industry. By investing in workforce development, we’re not only developing a new generation of skilled professionals but also helping businesses maintain safe, efficient, and sustainable steam operations."

The program’s inaugural graduates are now stepping into the field, ready to support industries such as manufacturing, food processing, healthcare, and more. Their expertise will play a role in ensuring uninterrupted steam supply, optimizing energy efficiency, and upholding safety standards.

With the success of the first cohort, Miura is actively seeking applicants for future classes. Individuals interested in building a career in the boiler industry can apply to join the next session of the Boiler Trade Program.
