Pro Mach, Inc. expanded its filling and capping capabilities with the acquisition of Pacific Packaging Machinery, manufacturer of light to viscous rotary and inline filling and capping solutions. Pete Carpino, President of Pacific Packaging, will join Pro Mach as Vice President and General Manager.

Klöckner Pentaplast’s line of SmartCycle® post-consumer recycled content polyester films produced in North America was granted a “Certificate of Verification” by NSF International.

Constantia Flexibles acquired the flexible packaging business of Italy-based Lamp San Prospero SPA.

Pregis acquired UK-based Easypack, a paper-based protective packaging company.

Sylvester Giustino was appointed Director of Government and Technical Affairs for the Can Manufacturers Institute.

John Sweeterman was named General Manager of INX Digital’s San Leandro, CA facility.

Martin Merker was appointed Regional Sales Manager, Western Canada, for Harpak-ULMA.

Thomas Salmon was elected President and COO of Berry Plastics Group.

Goro Yumiba was appointed Executive Head of North America for Sato.

Alison Keane was named President and CEO of the Flexible Packaging Association.
