Code Tech Corp. moved to a larger facility in Princeton, NJ.

RKW Danafilms changed its name to RKW North America to reflect commitment to the North American market.

NatureWorks updated its Ingeo Biopolymer Life Cycle Assessment Data profile. It was reviewed and approved by a third-party peer review publication.

First Quality Enterprises, Inc. announced the formation of First Quality Packaging Solutions, LLC (FQPS), which will design, develop, and manufacture plastic packaging for the retail food, foodservice, and healthcare markets.

Schneider Packaging Equipment Co., Inc. celebrates it 45th anniversary.

Hitachi America, Ltd. announced it is establishing a new subsidiary jointly with Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Co., Ltd. The new subsidiary will operate as Hitachi Industrial Equipment Marking Solutions Inc. and will be located in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Brother Gearmotors, a div. of Brother International Corp., entered into an agreement with California-based Applied Mechatronics to service Brother Gearmotors’ customer base in California.

Duravant acquired Spain-based Mespack.

Amcor and Kezzler AS announced a global partnership to provide MaXQ, serialized packaging backed by a cloud platform to address anti-counterfeiting and track and trace issues.

Lenze announced its sponsorship of a student project involving the Institute for Drive Technology and Power Electronics at Leibniz University in Hannover, Germany, and the Polytechnic Institute of Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.

Bimba Mfg. acquired Intek Products. Also, Frost & Sullivan awarded Bimba the 2015 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for New Product Innovation for its IntelliSense system.

Alliedflex Technologies, Inc. relocated its corporate office and manufacturing operations to a 15,000 sq-ft facility in Sarasota, FL.

Adept Technology, Inc. added Applied Controls, Inc. as a new distributor.

Zip-Pak opened a packaging lab and showroom at its Cabreúva, São Paulo, Brazil facility.

People

Michael Andersen joined Krones AG’s Executive Board as Finance Chief.

Charmaine Laine joined TricorBraun as Marketing Communications Manager.

Graham Smith was appointed U.K. Sales Manager for HepcoMotion.

Laminations, part of Great Northern Corp.’s Specialty Group, announced Todd Hainer as Account Manager, north central states, and Aaron Sass as Business Development Director.

Hayato Shindo was appointed Head of Asia for Sato.

Achievements

The Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training awarded Toray Plastics (America), Inc., a “Real Jobs Rhode Island” grant to develop a leadership training program. The $25,000 grant application was written in partnership with Astro-Med, Inc., of West Warwick, the University of Rhode Island, and the Rhode Island Association of Manufacturers.
