
Recently, as PharmaManufacturing.com reported, the agency announced its “Transparency Initiative,” with a Transparency Task Force that aims to provide the public with timely, user-friendly information on FDA activities and decision-making. There’s even a new FDA Basics Web site that’s a bit less overwhelming than its main Web site.
Several recent FDA warnings about pharmaceutical warnings and recalls have arrived recently in this editor’s e-mail in box. Perhaps the most prominent among these pertains to FDA’s criticism of Johnson & Johnson’s McNeil Consumer Healthcare Tylenol recalls, reportedly stemming from mold on wood pallets.
