HACCP meeting proves a draw

FROM PACK EXPO 2008: HACCP for packaging seminar draws more than 100 Pack Expo attendees!

This looks to be a new “must do” packaging program for packaging organizations. Wynn Wiskell, Packaging Manager at General Mills and Chairman for the newly formed Food Safety Alliance for Packaging Committee talked to an overflow crowd about the importance of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) for packaging. This effort is endorsed by 30 major packagers and also supported by some top packaging suppliers.

The criticality of this issue and opportunity is underscored by the many food safety issues that have surfaces over the past several years. For more information on the topic visit, Food Safety Alliance for Packaging N-3402, or contact
