Sweden's BioGaiam, a specialist in probiotics, has designed a dispensing closure that protects ingredients during storage and releases unspoiled probiotics contained in beverages only during consumption.

Working with BERICAP, BioGaia created the LifeTop cap for functional and health enhancing drinks. The cap system protects ingredients from humidity, and allows manufacturers of the beverages to easily fill bottles and apply caps with insignificant changes to the capping line.
