"Sunset yellow" not on the horizon...

Food color "sunset yellow" along with other food colors, wheat and plastic pieces have been found in foods produced in countries as diverse as Iran, the UK, Denmark, and South Africa.

In Europe, the RASFF—Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed—flagged products that contained these dyes, food stuffs, and contaminants. "Sunset yellow" and other dyes may contribute to attention disorders in children, according to some sources. Wheat can cause adverse reactions for persons allergic to gluten. The RASFF has given manufacturers 18 months to comply with labeling regulations that require health warnings when certain contents are present.
