New regulations for South Africa's bottled water industry. . .

For the first time, South Africa's Department of Health is publishing regulations related to the processing and labeling of bottled water.

The new regulations will require bottled water to be categorized and labeled as three types: natural water, water defined by origin, and prepared water. Manufacturers will have until July 2007 to adjust their labeling and processing in order to comply.
