When it comes to snacking, eat less than zero...

As long as there's less than half a gram of trans fat per serving, U.S. federal regulations allow food labels to say there are zero grams of trans fat.

Consumers are mislead into thinking there are NO trans fats. Because many packages contain more than one serving, under half a gram trans fats add up. Trans fat contributes to heart disease by raising levels of bad cholesterol while lowering good cholesterol levels.
