Pmmi Sets $100,000 Fundraising Goal For Scholarships

A Pack Expo Scholarship program to financially support students at packaging schools in the U.S. and Canada was announced by the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (www.pmmi.org).

PMMI's goal is to raise $100,000 through its Education and Training Foundation. All Pack Expo-exhibiting companies are eligible to participate in the fundraising effort. Companies and individuals may contribute to two funds. The Pack Expo Scholarship General Fund will be distributed evenly among schools with a packaging curriculum focus that exhibit at Pack Expo. Schools will be asked to name a student recipient. The Pack Expo Scholarship Designated Gift Fund is for companies or individuals who donate $5,000 or more. They will be able to designate a specific school to which the funds they provide will be directed. Pack Expo Scholarship recipients will be announced at the Future Packaging Leaders luncheon at Pack Expo Intl. in Chicago October 31, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., in Room South 105 B-C-D at McCormick Place.
