Catalog of security technologies

In a business environment where counterfeiting runs rampant and where bioterrorism legislation, 21CFRPart11, and a variety of other security-related issues clamor for attention, it’s likely that newly developed security technologies will find their way into the design of new packaging machinery with greater and greater frequency.

That’s why builders of packaging machinery should be aware of an online catalog of security technologies recently developed by the Product Surety Center at New Mexico State University. The online catalog is part of a project supported by the FDA.

Applicable mainly to the pharmaceutical sector, the catalog is intended to be used by industry and agencies as a search tool for identifying technologies that meet specific needs and as an educational tool that will help users become familiar with available technologies.
