At PACK EXPO International 2026, Murrelektronik will demonstrate how smarter, more decentralized automation can help machine builders and system integrators simplify their solutions and improve efficiency. Discover newly released solutions spanning IO-Link connectivity, machine control, decentralized protection, and power distribution, among others.
Murrelektronik will be focusing on technologies that move functionality closer to the machine and reduce reliance on centralised control architectures, while making it easier to connect, protect, and monitor equipment in the field.
A key highlight is set to be the new IO-Link Multiplier. As the name suggests, it multiplies one IO-Link master port into four fully functional IO-Link ports, allowing four devices to share a single master connection. Importantly, this doesn’t mean sacrificing IO-Link functionality: process data, diagnostics, and parameters remain fully accessible for each connected device. The compact, IP65/67-rated design of Murrelektronik’s IO-Link Multiplier also makes it ideal for space-constrained and retrofit applications.
Another major Murrelektronik innovation in the spotlight will be pure.IO, our new generation of IO-Link technology. The ultra-compact and lightweight portfolio combines multiprotocol IO-Link masters and I/O modules with support for PROFINET and EtherNet/IP, as well as EtherCAT. Its integrated diagnostics use LEDs positioned around the module to provide visibility from all sides. Daisy chaining of the IO-Link I/O modules is also possible, extending connectivity without consuming additional master ports.
Elsewhere on the booth, we’ll showcase our new IO-Link Pushbutton Control Devices, which provide compact, decentralised control for simple machine tasks. Available with up to six buttons and optional emergency stop functionality, the devices can be individually configured via IO-Link, including colour, brightness, and flashing modes. Plug-and-play M12 connectivity makes integration straightforward in both new and existing systems.
For decentralised machine and plant circuit protection, you’ll be able to discover our MICO67. The IP67-rated distribution module puts electronic fusing directly in the field, protecting individual loads against overload rather than relying solely on protection back in the control cabinet. Channel-specific diagnostics help identify faults quickly, while M12 L-coded versions can handle currents of up to 6 A.
And don’t miss Murrelektronik’s new M35 Power Connectors, providing rugged, plug-and-play power connectivity for high-power industrial applications. Available as three- and four-position trunk cable assemblies, they offer a 32 A current rating and 600 V capacity, together with IP67/NEMA 6P protection. The connectors provide a plug-and-play approach to distributing power around machinery and equipment.
Taken together, these solutions demonstrate Murrelektronik’s approach to decentralised automation and its potential to simplify the design and connectivity of packaging machinery.
Experience it all in Murrelektronik's Booth N-5745 at PACK EXPO International 2026.
