Schneider Electric has introduced a compact, general-purpose, variable-speed drive that is said to incorporate plug-and-drive operational simplicity.

Pw 13084 Schneider Elec Altiva

The Altivar® 31 drive is designed for the control of 3-phase asynchronous motors with power ratings from 0.18 to 15 kW. Compact dimensions mean the Altivar 31 drives can be mounted side-by-side for considerable savings in space required. With 4 voltage ranges, an integrated RFI class-A filter, and positive or negative logic, the Altivar 31 complies with the technical specs and standards of all major worldwide markets, says the manufacturer.
