Stoller's applies a honey of a neck band

W. Stoller's Honey, Inc. was content enough with the functionality of the black tamper-evident shrink band it was using on its plastic bottles containing honey.

But the marketing folks felt a richer, deeper black background would produce a more dramatic look. So the Latty, OH, firm recently switched to a 2-mil polyvinyl chloride neck band from Seal-It (Farmingdale, NY). Reverse-printed flexographically in three colors, the band is emblazoned with the company logo and a tag line reading, "Squeeze on the flavor." "The black is definitely fuller, which makes the print colors stand out nicely," says Stoller's Tim Sinn. Stoller's uses automated equipment to apply the neck bands from a roll provided by Seal-It. The bands are applied to 8-, 12-, 16-, 24- and 40-oz sizes.
