By outsourcing manufacturing and packaging functions, brand owners can focus on their business, products, and marketing, without the distraction of supervising a production facility. This has led to an increased dependence on contract manufacturers, and the trend is providing more opportunity for contract manufacturers that operate in strict compliance with the FDA’s current Good Manufacturing Practices [cGMPs].
“Within the next year, all supplement manufacturers will be required to follow cGMPs similar to those of the pharmaceutical industry.
