Adhesives Research, Inc: Nonrepulpable splicing tapes

Adhesives Research offers 4 specialty products from its line of high-performance, nonrepulpable splicing tapes for a variety of advanced processes and applications.

ARclad® 7147 is a 5-mil PS film coated on one side with an aggressive, synthetic, rubber-based PSA. Formulated for use in roll-to-roll butt splicing of extruded PS foams and films in printing and thermoforming applications. ARclad® 8314-10 is a double-faced, polyester-supported tape with an aggressive, permanent acrylic adhesive. The p-s tape has good adhesion to a variety of substrates, including specialty papers, nonwovens, and coated grades. Suitable for manual/static, overlap, unwind, and rewind splicing applications. ARclad® 9550 is a 5-mil, single-faced tape designed for single- and double-butt splicing applications, as well as automated and safety splices. ARclad® 9560 is a 5.5-mil, double-faced tape suitable for manual overlap and automated splicing applications. Both tapes adhere to a variety of substrates, including polycoated paper and paperboard, fabrics, nonwovens, laminates, fiberglass mats, and composite materials.
