Ciba Specialty Chemicals has introduced a new member to its IRGAZIN® 2000 series, an organic yellow pigment that achieves high opacity and intrinsic color strength in industrial coatings.

Suitable for industrial, powder, and other high-value coatings, Ciba^® IRGAZIN^® Yellow 2088 is said to exhibit 20 to 30% higher intrinsic color than comparable pigments, making it easier for formulators to obtain desired color shade using substantially less pigment and thinner films. Other features include improved flow at equal pigment loading and high tinting strength.
