Dow Plastics: Resin for flexible packaging

Propylene-based Inspire® Performance Polymers from Dow (Midland, MI) provide excellent melt strength, bubble stability, and gauge uniformity, enabling converters to run better, thinner films on existing lines at higher output rates, company says.

Pw 15800 Dow

Polymers have outstanding film stiffness, impact and puncture resistance, temperature performance, grease resistance, and tensile strength. Optical and heat-seal properties remain consistent while low-temperature performance is actually improved, com- pany reports. Inspire is FDA- compliant and can be used as a stand-alone product, blended, or coextruded with Dow PP or PE resins.
