The film can now be used for packaging, transporting, or holding products at temperatures up to 250°F, or for holding alcoholic beverages not exceeding 50% alcohol by volume.
Polyester film coating
The FDA has approved a new coating for ICI Polyester's (Wilmington, DE) Melinex® 813 polyester film, making both sides of the film compliant with FDA regulations for use in applications involving direct food contact.
