They are constructed of a multilayer 48-ga PET/60-ga nylon/30-ga aluminum/100-ga polyethylene. The nylon strengthens the pouch, and the aluminum provides both oxygen- and UV-barrier protection.
IPN determined the size and shape of the pouch. The company, which performed all contract packaging services on the pouches, worked within Esio’s dimensional constraints on the dispensing-system compartment.
The concentrates are being sold primarily through dealers of the water-dispensing system, but glossy graphics on the pouches and cartons make the pouches retail-ready.
Graphics are designed in-house at Esio Beverage with bold colors and illustrations to convey the flavor variety against a black background. The pouches are gravure-printed in eight colors in India by a partner of IPN India plc.
