Made from a proprietary blend with high percentage of PLA, the series is FDA-compliant for food contact. Ampac will be extruding the film in one to multiple layers depending on the application and properties required. Structure seals to itself, making it suitable for vf/f/s applications. Also said to be easier to process, with physical properties more in line with traditional flexible packaging films when compared to those made solely with PLA.
