The center now uses a multilayer blown film line equipped with seven extruders to produce up to a seven-layer structure. The line features an 8” Battenfeld Gloucester (Gloucester, MA) die and an air-bearing bubble cage. The bubble is cooled by an internal cooling system to produce complex multilayer structures.
Typical product combinations include several Eastman polymers in conjunction with ethylene vinyl acetate, ethylene vinyl alcohol, nylon and polyester.
