NDC Infrared Eng.: Film thickness gauge

AccuProbe is a flashlight-sized probe that accurately measures the thickness of blown film at the bubble or in layflat form. Because it measures from only one side of the film, when mounted on the collapsing frame it is possible to obtain a true profile of the thickness around the bubble.

It is not sensitive to changes in composition or color that can cause a shift in apparent thickness as is experienced by other types of gauges, maker NDC Infrared Engineering (Irwindale, CA) states. AccuProbe is also suitable for use by OEMs who incorporate gauging and controls into complete systems.
