Perfecseal, a Bemis Co.: Top web for medical use

Perfecseal (Philadelphia, PA) has developed PerfecPerf, an all-plastic top web for medical packaging. The structure uses controlled perforations in the exterior polyester layer that allows the film to fracture with a clean tear path and gives the user three ways to open the package: spearing, peeling, or pop-through.

The perforations function as fault lines in the film, but do not go through the entire substrate, so sterility is not compromised.
