Flexible Packaging Association launches new website

The new flexpack.org website is more streamlined, more user-friendly, and contains a wealth of useful information.

The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) announces the official launch of its new website, www.flexpack.org. The FPA is committed to connecting, advancing, and leading the flexible packaging industry and the new website is a key communication tool in that quest.

The Homepage offers a new slideshow feature which focuses on FPA “Hot Topics”; a “Spotlight” section that highlights current FPA activities; special call-out areas that focus on specific topics such as the Achievement Awards, the industry collaborative Energy Bag Program and membership information; and sections that focus on recent industry news, the FPA NOW, and recent FPA research and publications.

“FPA offers a wealth of information for our members, stakeholders, and the public, and our new site is more streamlined and user friendly, making it easier to find critical information” says Dani Diehlmann, FPA Director of Communications. The “Industry Information” section includes business statistics and financial benchmarking reports, such as the State of the Flexible Packaging Industry Report and the quarterly Pulse of the Industry Reports. This section also features an Industry Overview, Flexible Packaging Facts and Figures, FPA Market Research and other related resources. Information that is only available to FPA members is clearly marked as “Members Only.”

As a leading voice in the sustainable packaging movement, FPA has several resources to support flexible packaging sustainability, which are all easily found under the “Sustainable Packaging” section. This sustainability section includes categories such as End-of-Packaging-Use, Energy Advantages, Extended Producer Responsibility, Food Waste Reduction, Source Reduction, and Transparency.

The FPA Programs tab highlights key association programs such as the Achievement Awards, Food Waste Reduction, Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, Regulatory and Legislative, Sustainable Packaging, the Sterilization Packaging Manufacturers Council, and Workforce Development.

The “Library” is a new feature that compiles all of FPA’s resources and publications in one place. In the Library, FPA members will find the FPA Publications List, FPA Meeting Presentations, links to the weekly Industry News Bulletin, links to the FPA Update, Membership Directory, and Flexible Packaging Buyers Guide.
