Colordyne: Digital printer upgrade

To provide improved image quality and increased print speed, Colordyne Technologies’s (CDT) 2600 Series digital printer features an upgraded print engine powered by Memjet technology for its Production Class Digital Color Printing System and flexo retrofit program.

Able to be retrofitted onto existing CDT 1600-PC Laser Pro, Rotary Pro, and Sprint units, the 2600 Series provides:  faster speeds – run at full speed, up to 225 ft./min. (69 m/min; 45 ips), regardless of image content (160 ft/min., previously); improved print resolution – 1600 x 1375 dpi (up from 1600 x 1200 dpi); and enhanced print quality – sends uncompressed files directly to the print engine.

The 2600 also provides:  more powerful RIP – faster data processing, no need to pre-RIP; RIP and print on-the-fly to eliminate time to the first label; job chaining abilities – switches print jobs continuously without stopping the machine; industry-standard Harlequin RIP (HDS) Frequency Modulation (FM) Screening; PDF workflow – no need to change file formats; larger ink containers –  55 L ink tanks per color is an option (in addition to current 10 L ink tanks).
