The survey also asked participants whether their companies had invested time or money into investigating radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags for their packaging operations during the last year.

Although fewer than one-third of 125 respondents said yes, 31% of those respondents who said yes indicated that their companies had spent more than $50ꯠ in evaluating this technology. The largest percentage, 56%, reported that their companies had spent $25ꯠ or less.
