Meech USA is showcasing an extensive range of static control and web cleaning technologies for packaging applications at PACK EXPO International 2026 in Chicago, 18-21 October. Exhibiting at Booth N-4627, the company will illustrate how these purpose-built solutions can help deliver greater product quality and yield through enhanced process efficiency.

Introducing the Hyperion™ 973IPS long range ionising bar

The show coincides with the launch of Meech’s new Hyperion™ 973IPS long range ionising bar, successor to the proven Hyperion™ 971IPS-30. With maximum output increased from 30 kV to 35 kV, this next-generation UL certified ionising bar offers improved long-range performance with full length ionisation to eliminate wasteful dead space.

Improvements to the emitter pin design, and use of a high purity, corrosion resistant titanium alloy, help minimise the drift in ion balance over time, delivering consistent high performance while reducing potential for corrosion. Meanwhile, its IP54 housing features a revised design and more robust mounting, optimised for 35 kV output and consistent with other recently launched ionising bar models, including the Hyperion™ 945IPS.

“This is the most powerful ionising bar on the market, designed for integration on modern high-speed packaging lines,” said Matt Fyffe, VP and General Manager of Meech USA. “Able to deliver consistently powerful performance at distances from 450 mm to 1,500 mm, the new Hyperion™ 973IPS is an adjustable and flexible solution with integrated air assist for complex applications.”

Part of the Meech labelling and packaging portfolio

The Hyperion™ 973IPS is the latest addition to Meech’s extensive portfolio of solutions for labelling and packaging applications that will be on show at PACK EXPO International. Other key products include:

  • the 994 IML static pinner for in-mould labelling applications. It uses controlled static generation to temporarily pin labels in position within the mould prior to resin injection, helping prevent label misalignment and support consistent product quality.
  • the CyClean-R™ non-contact web cleaning system for cleaning delicate low-tension webs up to 4000mm wide running at high speeds. It can extract unbonded particles down to 0.5 micron while neutralising static to reduce potential for recontamination.

“Converters are under constant pressure to maintain quality and increase line speed, even as the adoption of more sustainable packaging materials introduces new production complications,” said Matt Fyffe. “At PACK EXPO, we’re demonstrating how effective static control and web cleaning are central to overcoming many of the new challenges they face, helping reduce downtime and waste.”
