Hi, my name is Steve Gryzcka. I lead up our strategy and corporate development at Markem-Imaje, and today I'm here to show you our GS1 Digital Link solutions. So as with digital link solutions, it's critical for brands to think about how they integrate their data embedded in barcodes and then have those barcodes and the information in those barcodes accessible to retailers, consumers, and across their supply chain for improved efficiency, retailer compliance, and consumer engagement. So where we'll start today is with the data side because that's the most important part of the digital link solution.
This is our Colos system that connects to all Markem-Imaje printers and enables users and brands to design GS1-compliant digital link barcodes and then connect it with enterprise data systems to ensure you're getting the right data embedded into the digital link code for printing. So we'll start here today, a blank box. We have the digital link image that's already loaded up into into the Colos system, and we'll start from here. So all this is connected to enterprise data to make sure it's the right barcode, the right GS1-compliant barcode, the right lock code, and date code on it.
So here we have the information that's printed on the side of the case with our proprietary Hot Melt ink technology for high quality, high grade barcodes and our print and apply for a 2D digital in barcodes on labels itself. So as we talked about, ensuring that the right data is on the right package is critical for retailer compliance, retailer efficiency, and also engaging with consumers. So here with this digital link code, we'll scan the code, and here it shows the the experience that you get. It's called our Farm Fresh application, basically what it shows is this product is fresh, the best before date is in 2024, which means the product's expired and that the quality control is pending.
Brands can actually go in and update the digital content that's associated with the physical product in real time. This enhances their ability to also improve recall handling quickly, as well as provide other information to consumers about sustainability of the product and product traceability as well as do consumer engagement as well. In summary, our Markem-Image Colos system enables you to connect to all of our Markem-Imaje printers which have the capabilities to print GS1-compliant digital link barcodes on any kind of packaging or shape or product at variable speeds.
