Orion, a ProMach brand and a specialist in stretch wrapping technology, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Kalina as Director of Sales. In this role, Paul will lead Orion’s commercial strategy across its distribution network, direct sales, and ProMach brand partnerships, supporting the company’s continued focus on customer support, domestic manufacturing strength, and long-term value across end-of-line packaging operations.
Paul brings more than 20 years of industry expertise to Orion, with a track built built on a clear principle: start with the customer’s challenge, then match the right solution to the application. Throughout his career, he has helped manufacturers adopt technologies that improve throughput, load integrity, operational efficiency, and total cost of ownership.
“Paul understands that selling stretch wrapping equipment is really about solving problems on the production floor,” said John French, VP and General Manager of Orion. “He brings strong technical knowledge, but more importantly, he is passionate about listening to customers, supporting distributors, and helping teams deliver practical solutions that create value long after the machine is installed.”
Paul joins Orion as the company continues investing in U.S.-based manufacturing, stronger customer support, and more predictable lead times. Earlier this year, Orion introduced the Flex Legion semi-automatic stretch wrapper, replacing its imported entry-level offering with a U.S.-built solution designed, sourced, and manufactured in Alexandria, Minnesota. Orion has also restructured its manufacturing space to improve production flow, build consistency, and responsiveness across its stretch wrapping portfolio. “Orion has earned its reputation by building reliable, well-engineered equipment and standing behind it,” said Paul. “I’m excited to work with our distribution partners, direct customers, and the broader ProMach family of brands to connect manufacturers with stretch wrapping solutions.”
Orion continues to see strong demand across a wide range of stretch wrapping applications, serving manufacturers through distribution partners, direct sales relationships, and integrated solutions delivered alongside other ProMach brands. The company’s portfolio spans the full spectrum of load containment, from portable and stand-alone wrappers for lower-volume operations to fully automated packaging line systems engineered for high-throughput environments.
Paul’s appointment reinforces Orion’s commitment to meeting customers wherever they are in their automation journey while helping them plan for what comes next. Whether a customer needs a dependable entry-level wrapper, a connected automatic system, or a larger integrated end-of-line solution, Orion remains focused on delivering equipment, support, and manufacturing stability that customers can count on for the long term.
