Sleeve labels boost new Disney line

Five popular Disney characters come to life in a new line of Sun Pals tanning lotions and sprays from No-Ad Suncare, thanks to the efforts of Ameri-Seal (www.ameri-seal.com), a Chatsworth, CA, contract packager.

Ameri-Seal gravure-prints the labels and applies them to the high-density polyethylene bottles at its Chatsworth, CA, contract-packaging facility. The PETG film was specified for the labels because the bottle tops narrow dramatically, calling for the wider range of shrinkage that makes PETG a viable option.

No-Ad's Suzanne Lang says the Miami Gardens, FL, marketer was able to test the line of products first in 1,000 Wal-Mart stores. After test marketing proved successful, No-Ad launched the Sun Pals line nationally and internationally for the 2006 sun-care season.

The Sun Pals line features 6-oz squeezable bottles bearing PETG heat-shrinkable film labels, which Ameri-Seal gravure prints.
