Wilpak adds 95,000 sq ft for co-manufacturing

has leased an additional 95ꯠ sq ft in Forest Park, GA, for the 12-year-old company’s new contract manufacturing operations. The new facility began operations Jan. 1, 2006 with the addition of about 100 new full-time and temporary jobs. The facility is already 100% committed to a new contract manufacturing client.

“This new business falls right in line with Wilpak’s industry-leading stature and 11 consecutive years of solid growth,” says Eric Wilhelm, Wilpak president.

The manufacturing location is immediately across Old Dixie Road from Wilpak’s corporate headquarters and primary contract packaging operations facility. With the addition of the new location, Wilpak has 450ꯠ sq ft devoted to contract packaging, postponement, logistics, and manufacturing operations.

Mike Bell has been appointed vice president of contract manufacturing to lead Wilpak’s contract manufacturing operations. Previously, Bell was director of operations and managed the Controls Business Unit for the Scott’s Company, Fort Madison, IA.

Wilpak specializes in retail packaging for club stores, home-improvement stores, dollar stores, as well as big-box, grocery, and drug stores.
