Sterling Contract Packaging (Sterling CPI), a contract packager serving medical device and over-the-counter pharmaceutical brands, will be featured in an upcoming episode of "All Access,” hosted by Andy Garcia, a short-form educational series distributed to public television stations nationwide.

The segment was filmed May 6 at Sterling CPI's South Carolina operations. The episode treats Sterling CPI as a case study in how healthcare packaging is shifting away from fragmented, multi-vendor supply chains toward integrated models that carry a product from initial package design and structural engineering through manufacturing and outbound logistics.

The argument for consolidation will be familiar to healthcare brand owners. When design, material sourcing, and final assembly sit with separate vendors, every handoff creates room for miscommunication, and those gaps tend to surface as production delays, packaging defects, or compliance failures.

The show portrays how Sterling CPI centralizes structural design, material selection, and cleanroom packaging under a single management system, thereby tightening quality control, improving traceability, and trimming administrative overhead.

The episode shows how, for medical device brands, using an integrated outsourcing partner can offer a path to consistent, rapid market delivery without funding an internal facility expansion, freeing in-house teams to focus on R&D, sales, and new product development.

Other broader topics covered in the episode include recent tariff volatility, trade uncertainty, and rising material costs that are pushing brands toward domestic supply lines. The show also addresses how consumer pressure to reduce plastic and improve recyclability continues to build. Sterling CPI explains how they are meeting both demands with ongoing investments in flexible equipment, material testing, and adaptable design processes without compromising product protection.

"With more than 30 years in this business, we feel that the Sterling CPI success story is worth sharing," says Michael Hastings, president and CEO. "We hope that viewers find this segment informative and impactful."

Air dates have not been announced but will be announced on the All Access series website. Learn more about Sterling CPI’s packaging services at their website.
